Article submission is one of the best ways to increase link popularity for your websites. Usually, outbound links from article directory pages are very few. While in case of a standard link page, there may be more than one thousand outbound references per page, there is low link competition from article pages; this is a major advantage considering article marketing instead of link exchange. When you plan to submit articles to directories, you have to consider the following guidelines:
- The directory should be SEO friendly
- It should be indexed in major search engines
- It should accept free submissions
- The article directory must have clear submission guidelines and terms of service
- Directory PageRank is no longer a factor you should consider but traffic.
